Tour 2006 - RTW

I travelled from Halifax via New York (again) to London whilst Liara came from Halifax via St Johns. We met up at Heathrow and continued on to Hook where Liara's friends live. I nice quiet area, very pieceful for night walks. The next day we did the touristy thing and headed in to London to see Big Ben, Tower of London and Westminster on foot. Then boarded a hop on hop off sights bus. Since Liara is a semi-vegetarian I thought it was fitting to juxtapose her with a Beefeater.

Winchester Cathedral has its origins in the 7th century, when a Christian Church was first built on this sitein Hampshire http://www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk/. We explored Hampshire and the surrounding area with our firend form Hook before returning for another evening stroll near their home.

Not far from where they live is a lovely creekside path with ducks swimming and children playing in the nearby park. It made for a very pleasent end to lovely day touring. On the way home along the creek we spotted and interesting Cottage. Couldn't resist this photo opportunity, it reminded so much of the cottages I had seen in books.
